Whipped this card up last night while my husband was writing his dissertation.  Dave Matthews coming from the basement and Norah Jones playing in craft room :-). I have a student moving and changing schools. This one's for her.

I am a birthday misser. I am ashamed to admit it. With my new Cricut, however, I am attempting to make up for my tardiness with crafty, homemade with love, unique, customized cards! How am I doing, birthday victims of mine?

The Square Society Black and White Masquerade Ball was held here in Roanoke last night. My husband and I went with some friends and had a great time! Thought I would share our homemade masks, my first venture making something that we wore in public.

baby bouquets

I made my first baby clothing bouquet for my sister's baby shower in the spring of 2011.  My friend Andria and I sat down and figured out how to put it all together. Since then, I have made three more and it is now my favorite gift to give at baby showers.  I have used them as the centerpiece for two baby showers that I have co-hostessed.  Enjoy!

fun with my new Cricut!

My parents bought me a Cricut Expressions for Christmas.  Initially perplexed by the seeming lack of usefulness of this little di-cutter, I am now addicted to it!  This weekend I made baby shower cards and a thank you card for my darling mom.  Last week I made a quick card for a great friend. Not only is it fun, but they are original and meaningful. 

P.S. I love my hot glue gun almost as much as I love my Cricut :-).
